Three Cheese Twist Bread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dough Base

01 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt
02 - 3/4 cup warm milk
03 - 3 eggs
04 - 2 tablespoons honey
05 - 2 1/4 teaspoons yeast
06 - 3 1/2 - 4 cups flour

→ Filling

07 - 1/3 cup chopped fresh Italian herbs (basil, oregano, thyme, sage)
08 - 1/4 cup fresh grated parmesan cheese
09 - 2 cloves minced garlic
10 - 1 cup shredded or cubed mozzarella
11 - 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

# Instructions:

01 - In a bowl, combine the milk, yeast, and honey, then let sit for 5 minutes until frothy. Add eggs, salt, and 3 1/2 cups of flour. Use a dough hook to mix until smooth, tossing in more flour if it feels too sticky.
02 - Cover the dough and let it sit at room temperature for an hour or until it doubles in size.
03 - Mix the mozzarella, cheddar, parmesan, garlic, and Italian herbs in a bowl.
04 - Stretch the dough into a rectangle about 12x18 inches. Spread the cheese-herb mixture evenly across it. Roll it tightly into a log, slice it lengthwise, twist the halves together, and shape it into a circle on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
05 - Let the twisted loaf sit covered for 15 minutes. Bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes until golden and crusty.

# Notes:

01 - Best served warm so the cheese stays gooey.
02 - Dried herbs can be used, but cut the amount in half for stronger flavor.
