Naked Caramel Bars (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 cups plus 1/4 cup of plain flour.
02 - A teaspoon of baking soda.
03 - One teaspoon salt.
04 - 1 cup of softened butter.
05 - Three-fourths cup of white sugar.
06 - Three-fourths cup of brown sugar, packed tightly.
07 - A teaspoon of vanilla.
08 - Two eggs.
09 - 2 cups of chocolate chips, semi-sweet.
10 - Five ounces of evaporated milk.
11 - 14 ounces of caramel candies.
12 - Half a cup of peanut butter.

# Instructions:

01 - Set the oven to 375°F. Coat a 9x13 pan with butter or oil.
02 - Combine flour mix with baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl, whip the butter, both sugars, and vanilla together until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, stir in the flour mixture, then mix in chocolate chips.
03 - Press half of your dough into the pan and bake for about 8-10 minutes.
04 - In a double boiler, heat caramels with milk until melted. Stir in peanut butter. Pour this smoothly over your baked base.
05 - Drop spoonfuls of your leftover dough across the caramel layer. Cook for another 15-20 minutes till it’s golden and done.
