Meat Cheese Puff (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pre-rolled puff pastry sheet.
02 - 300 g ground meat (beef or a mix of beef and lamb).
03 - 1 small onion, chopped finely.
04 - 2 cloves of garlic, minced.
05 - 1 tablespoon olive oil.
06 - 1 teaspoon paprika.
07 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin.
08 - Salt and pepper to taste.
09 - 150 g shredded cheese (like Gruyère, Emmental, or mozzarella).
10 - 1 egg for brushing.
11 - Sesame or poppy seeds (optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Toss in the onion and garlic, stirring until they get soft.
02 - Add the ground meat along with the paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir and cook until the meat browns and is fully done. Set it aside to cool.
03 - Unroll the puff pastry. Spread the cooled meat filling evenly across, leaving a 2 cm space around the edges. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top.
04 - Starting with a long side, carefully roll the puff pastry into a tight log. Press the edges closed using a bit of water and place it onto a baking sheet.
05 - Brush the roll with beaten egg and sprinkle seeds if you like. Bake at 200°C for 20-25 minutes until golden and crisp.

# Notes:

01 - Make ahead and reheat when needed.
02 - Pairs well with a simple green salad or homemade tomato sauce.
03 - For extra flavor, mix in mustard or fresh herbs.
