French toast and syrup (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 4 slices of baguette, about 3 to 4 cm thick
02 - 2 eggs
03 - 1 1/4 cups (310 ml) of milk
04 - 2 tablespoons of maple sugar
05 - Butter to taste
06 - 3/8 cup (90 ml) of golden maple syrup
07 - Seasonal fruits for topping

# Instructions:

01 - Whisk the eggs in a bowl, pour in the milk, then toss in the maple sugar and stir everything well.
02 - Dip the baguette slices into the mixture, making sure they’re fully coated. Let them sit for 2 to 3 hours, flipping occasionally.
03 - Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat. Melt about 15 ml of butter, lay the soaked slices flat in the pan, and cover. Cook one side until golden, flip, and cook the other side.
04 - Melt 50 g of butter while warming up the maple syrup together on the stove.
05 - Layer the golden bread slices on a plate, sprinkle with chopped fruits, and drizzle them with warm maple syrup and melted butter.

# Notes:

01 - Letting the slices soak longer can make the texture even softer.
