Creamy Goat Cheese Bake (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 10 ounces of chèvre (goat cheese).
02 - 2 ounces of soft cream cheese.
03 - 1 tablespoon honey, plus 2 teaspoons for a finishing drizzle (split).
04 - 1 small garlic clove, cut into a few chunks.
05 - ¼ teaspoon fine-grain salt.
06 - 10 fresh cracks of black pepper.
07 - ⅛ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, add more if you like spice (optional).

# Instructions:

01 - Turn your oven on to 425°F and move a rack to the top third section.
02 - Blend goat cheese, cream cheese, one tablespoon of honey, garlic chunks, salt, pepper, and, if you’re using them, red pepper flakes in your food processor.
03 - Let the processor run until the mix is well combined and airy—this takes about 2 minutes. Scrape everything down a few times as needed! It’ll clump a bit first, then turn smooth.
04 - Give it a quick taste and make any changes. Want it hotter? Toss in another pinch of flakes. Want sweetness? Add a little more honey to adjust it to your liking.
05 - Scoop the cheese mix into a small ramekin or oven-safe dish.
06 - Pop it in the hot oven and let it bake for 15-20 minutes, until it’s warm and has puffed up a bit.
07 - Take it out of the oven and drizzle on those extra 2 teaspoons of honey while it’s still warm.
08 - Serve straight from the baking dish while hot with things like toasted sourdough slices, pita crisps, crostini, crackers (gluten-free also works), cut veggies, berries, olives, or tapenade for extra flair.

# Notes:

01 - Room temperature trick: Blending is smoother and quieter when the ingredients aren’t cold.
02 - Gluten-free version: Use crackers or bread that’s free of gluten for this option.
03 - Adjust as you go: Sweetness and spice can be tailored by simply adding more honey or red pepper flakes.
