Having a few trusty crowd-pleasers on hand totally saves the day, whether friends show up outta nowhere or you're planning something special. A creamy, flavor-packed baked goat cheese dip is one of my favorites to whip up. I first tried something similar at a restaurant, then kept tinkering till this was a regular thing in my kitchen.

Why You'll Dig This Dish
- Super Fast You can have this ready before you know it, so you can relax and chat with your guests.
- Mix and Match Tweak how much sweetness or heat you want, just go with what you like.
- So Many Ways To Eat Grab anything—crostini, pita chips, berries, even olives—this goes with it all.
- Looks Awesome That golden top with drizzly honey just begs for a photo before you dig in.
Ingredients
- 10 oz goat cheese
- 2 oz cream cheese
- 1 tbsp honey, plus another 2 tsp for topping, split up
- 1 small garlic clove, sliced
- 1/4 tsp fine salt
- 10 cracks black pepper
- 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes if you want some kick
- Things to dip: toasted pita, crusty bread, crostini, fresh fruit, tapenade, olives, whatever you vibe with
Preparation
- 1. Start With Preheating
- Kick off by heating your oven to 425°F. Put the rack near the top so the cheese gets a nice finish.
- 2. Whip Everything Together
- Toss goat cheese, cream cheese, garlic, honey (the 1 tablespoon), salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if you want it spicy) in a food processor. Run it for 2 minutes till it's super fluffy, scraping down the sides if it bunches up.
- 3. Tinker The Taste
- Take a quick taste! If you want a bigger kick, add more red pepper. Craving sweet? Pour in more honey. It'll get even sweeter once you drizzle the top, so don't overdo it.
- 4. Pop It In The Oven
- Spoon the cheesy goodness into a small oven-safe dish (think a 1-quart Pyrex, stoneware dish, or cast iron). Drizzle over a bit more honey and bake about 13–15 minutes till it’s golden up top.
- 5. Let It Set
- Let it chill for five minutes out of the oven. Finish off with another quick honey drizzle and you're ready to dip in.
How To Serve
- Pita Wedges Toast some pita and scoop that cheese up—it's awesome.
- Olive-y Goodness If you love tang, olives or tapenade on the side are next level.
- Crunchy Or Fresh Sliced carrots, juicy tomatoes, and berries keep things crisp and fun.
- Sourdough And Crostini Thick sourdough or crunchy crostini always hit the spot with this.
- Gluten-Free Swaps Pick thick crackers or diagonal carrot sticks for a no-gluten version.
