Chocolate Chip Nutella Cookies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 1/4 cups (165g) plain flour.
02 - 1/2 teaspoon of both baking soda and baking powder.
03 - 3/4 teaspoon salt (use kosher if available).
04 - 1/2 cup (110g) melted butter, let it cool.
05 - 1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar (light and packed).
06 - 1/3 cup (75g) white sugar.
07 - 1 cup (180g) dark chocolate chips, some extra for topping.
08 - 2 teaspoons of vanilla essence.
09 - 1 large egg at room temp.
10 - Flaky salt for sprinkling over the cookies.
11 - 1/2 cup (125g) Nutella or similar spread.

# Instructions:

01 - Spoon out 8 portions of Nutella onto parchment paper and let them chill in the freezer while you work on the dough.
02 - In a small bowl, stir together flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
03 - Using a whisk, mix the melted butter with both sugars for a couple of minutes. Then, whisk in the egg and vanilla extract for another 1-2 minutes.
04 - Slowly fold the flour mixture into the wet mix. When there's some flour visible, toss in chocolate chips and stir until just blended.
05 - Pop the dough into the fridge, covered, for at least half an hour.
06 - Heat oven to 350F. Grab 1/4 cup of dough, flatten it, hide frozen Nutella inside, and seal it up. Bake for 13-15 minutes or until the edges are golden. Sprinkle salted flakes on top.

# Notes:

01 - Cool cookies for 20 minutes before eating.
02 - Cookies should have a slightly undercooked center when ready.
03 - Leave plenty of space between each cookie on the baking tray.
