Spoon out 8 portions of Nutella onto parchment paper and let them chill in the freezer while you work on the dough.

In a small bowl, stir together flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.

Using a whisk, mix the melted butter with both sugars for a couple of minutes. Then, whisk in the egg and vanilla extract for another 1-2 minutes.

Slowly fold the flour mixture into the wet mix. When there's some flour visible, toss in chocolate chips and stir until just blended.

Pop the dough into the fridge, covered, for at least half an hour.

Heat oven to 350F. Grab 1/4 cup of dough, flatten it, hide frozen Nutella inside, and seal it up. Bake for 13-15 minutes or until the edges are golden. Sprinkle salted flakes on top.
