Chocolate Chip Delights (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dry Ingredients

01 - 1 teaspoon of baking soda
02 - 2 ½ cups of flour, all-purpose
03 - A pinch of salt (½ teaspoon)

→ Wet Ingredients

04 - 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
05 - 1 cup butter, unsalted and soft
06 - Gel food coloring in pastel shades: blue, yellow, purple, and pink
07 - 2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract
08 - 2 eggs, large
09 - 3/4 cup white granulated sugar

→ Add-ins

10 - 2 cups of chocolate chips

# Instructions:

01 - Switch the oven to 350°F (175°C) and get your baking sheet ready by lining it with parchment paper.
02 - In a medium bowl, toss together the salt, flour, and baking soda. Keep aside when done.
03 - In a big bowl, beat the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and softened butter until the mix looks light and airy. Drop in one egg at a time, blending well after each, and then mix in the vanilla.
04 - Little by little, stir the dry mix into the wet one. Give it a gentle mixing until it's combined, but don’t overdo it.
05 - Split the dough into 4 parts. Stir in a different pastel gel food dye into each section—colors can include purple, yellow, blue, and pink. Mix just until the color spreads evenly.
06 - Pinch off a bit of each colored dough and smush them together into swirled balls. Put them on the baking sheet, flatten slightly, and press some chocolate chips on top.
07 - Let the cookies bake for 10–12 minutes until the edges barely take on a golden hue. Let them rest on the baking tray for 5 minutes before moving them to a wire rack to cool completely.
