Christmas Butter Mints (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 cups powdered sugar.
02 - 1/2 cup of butter.
03 - 2 tablespoons heavy cream.
04 - A quarter teaspoon mint extract.
05 - Red coloring for food.

# Instructions:

01 - Lay down parchment or wax paper. Have extra powdered sugar ready in case the mix sticks.
02 - Whip butter until it looks light and creamy.
03 - Gradually add cream, sugar, and mint flavor while mixing until it holds together.
04 - Divide the dough into parts. Leave most white and tint about a quarter red.
05 - Shape the dough into two separate balls—one white, one red.
06 - Roll out ropes of dough—a thicker one in white and a thinner one in red.
07 - Wind the red and white ropes around each other.
08 - Pinch off small bits and roll them into smooth pieces between your hands.
09 - Place pieces on parchment. Let them sit for 1-2 hours to firm up. Slice with a pizza cutter.
10 - Allow them to sit for an entire day to fully dry.
11 - Store in an airtight container. Refrigerate if you'd like.

# Notes:

01 - Let them rest a full day for the perfect soft texture.
02 - They look great as gifts in fancy packaging.
