Teriyaki chicken slowcooked (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the chicken

01 - 1 large free-range chicken broken into pieces
02 - 1 clove of garlic
03 - 1 large onion
04 - 1 teaspoon of grated or powdered ginger

→ For the sauce

05 - 80g of honey
06 - 50g of sake (optional)
07 - 80g of rice vinegar
08 - 125g of Japanese soy sauce (Kikkoman)

→ For serving

09 - Japanese rice on the side
10 - Sesame seeds

# Instructions:

01 - Peel the onion and dice it into small cubes. Peel the garlic and chop it thinly.
02 - Take the skin off the chicken and place it at the bottom of your slow cooker or Dutch oven.
03 - Toss in the garlic, onion, ginger, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and sake. Quickly give everything a mix.
04 - Cook for 4 hours using a slow cooker or bake in a Dutch oven at 140°C.
05 - Take the bones out and shred the chicken using two forks. Pair with Japanese rice and sprinkle some sesame seeds on top.

01 - Sake can be skipped if you'd prefer
02 - You can either cook this in a slow cooker or bake it in the oven
