Tender Beef Slow Cooked (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Protein

01 - A brisket of beef (1 whole)

→ Spice Blend

02 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
03 - 1/4 teaspoon powder made from onion
04 - 1 teaspoon chili seasoning
05 - 1/2 teaspoon powdered garlic
06 - 1/4 teaspoon celery seasoning
07 - 1 teaspoon of table salt

→ Tangy Glaze

08 - 1/2 cup of bottled chili sauce
09 - Half a cup of basic ketchup
10 - A packed eighth of a cup of brown sugar
11 - 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar
12 - 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
13 - Anywhere from 1 to 1.5 teaspoons of Liquid Smoke (leave it out if you want)
14 - 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
15 - A splash of A1 steak sauce

# Instructions:

01 - Take a small bowl and mix together the spice rub ingredients. Rub the blend all over the brisket so it's fully covered.
02 - Put the brisket with the spices on it into a 3-quart slow cooker. Let it sit for a bit—at least an hour. For deeper flavor, cover and leave it in the fridge overnight.
03 - In another large bowl, stir together every ingredient listed for the sauce. Pour part of this mix onto the brisket while saving the rest for when you serve.
04 - Put the lid on your slow cooker. Cook on low heat for up to 8 hours or high heat for around 4 to 5 hours until the brisket turns super soft and easy to pull apart.
05 - To make slices, cut against the grain (this keeps it tender). Serve with the extra sauce you kept aside earlier on.

# Notes:

01 - For richer flavors, rub the brisket with the spices a day before and let it stay in the fridge overnight.
