Christmas Crack (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 cups chocolate chips, semi-sweet.
02 - 1 cup of butter, salted.
03 - 1 sleeve (around 40) of saltine crackers.
04 - 1 cup of packed light brown sugar.
05 - 1 cup of red and green M&Ms, chopped roughly.

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 400°F. Cover a baking tray with foil or parchment paper, and lightly coat it with nonstick spray.
02 - Spread out the saltine crackers in a single layer over the prepped baking tray.
03 - In a small pot on medium heat, mix the butter and brown sugar. Keep stirring until it's bubbly, then let it simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.
04 - Evenly pour the bubbly butter-sugar mix over the crackers.
05 - Slide it into the oven for 5 to 6 minutes, just until it's bubbly again.
06 - Take the tray out of the oven and scatter the chocolate chips on top of the crackers. Let them sit for 5 minutes to melt.
07 - Gently spread the softened chocolate across the crackers with a spatula.
08 - Sprinkle the chopped M&Ms evenly over the top of the melted chocolate.
09 - Pop the tray into the fridge for a few hours or the freezer for half an hour until everything firms up.
10 - Once firm, take it out and break it up into chunks.

# Notes:

01 - Chill it completely in the fridge or freezer before breaking it apart.
