Italian Sub Squares (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - Two cans of crescent roll dough sheets

→ Meats & Cheese

02 - Sliced provolone cheese (8 ounces)
03 - Quarter pound of deli ham, sliced
04 - Quarter pound of deli pepperoni, sliced
05 - Genoa salami, sliced (¼ pound)

→ Vegetables

06 - One 12-ounce can of roasted red peppers, drained and cut into slices
07 - Half a cup of drained, sliced pepperoncini

→ Topping

08 - One large egg
09 - One tablespoon of pre-made pesto
10 - Grated parmesan (1 tablespoon)

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x13 dish with cooking spray.
02 - Lay out one crescent dough sheet, pressing it into the dish and up the sides by about an inch.
03 - Spread out half the provolone slices, then add the pepperoni, ham, salami, roasted red peppers, and pepperoncini. Top off with the rest of the cheese slices.
04 - Put the other crescent dough sheet on top, pinching the edges together to seal it.
05 - In a small bowl, whisk together the egg, pesto, and parmesan. Use a brush to coat the top layer of dough with this mixture.
06 - Cover your dish with foil that's been sprayed with cooking spray. Bake for 30 minutes, then take off the foil and bake for another 15 to 20 minutes until it's golden and crisp.
07 - Let it cool for about 10 minutes before slicing it up to serve.
