Strawberry Chocolate Bites (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base Ingredients

01 - 1/2 cup (1 stick) of unsalted butter, already softened
02 - 1 cup of lightly packed brown sugar
03 - 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar
04 - 1 egg, bring it to room temperature
05 - 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

→ Dry Ingredients

06 - 1 3/4 cups (8 oz) of all-purpose flour
07 - 3/4 teaspoon of baking soda
08 - 1/2 teaspoon of salt

→ Mix-ins & Decoration

09 - 1 cup of freeze-dried strawberries, crushed softly
10 - 8 oz of dark chocolate, cut into pieces
11 - Melting wafers of chocolate for decorating and dipping

# Instructions:

01 - Combine the softened butter with both types of sugar. Beat them together until they look fluffy and pale. Scrape the bowl’s sides as needed, then blend in the egg and vanilla until smooth. Scrape again before moving on.
02 - In another bowl, whisk up the flour, salt, and baking soda. Set your mixer to a low setting and slowly add the dry combo into the butter mixture. Don’t overwork it. Add the chocolate chunks and crushed strawberries gently at the end.
03 - Use a cookie scoop or just a spoon to place dough blobs, evenly spaced, on a parchment-covered baking sheet. Press each one down lightly to make it flatter.
04 - Slide the tray into a preheated 350°F oven for 11-14 minutes. Keep an eye on it and pull the cookies out when the edges turn light golden and the centers look barely set. Let them cool for 5 minutes on the tray, then transfer to a rack.
05 - After cooling, dip the bottom part of each cookie into melted chocolate wafers. Remove the extra chocolate, then use a bag to drizzle more melted chocolate on top. Leave them alone until the chocolate has fully set.

# Notes:

01 - To get the best textures, use ingredients at room temp
02 - Cookies firm up while cooling, so don’t overbake
03 - Wait for chocolate to fully set in place before storing or stacking
