Spicy Sweet Wings (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Chicken and Seasoning

01 - 2 pounds of chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
02 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
03 - ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
04 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
05 - 1 teaspoon kosher salt

→ Sweet & Tangy Coating

06 - ¼ cup brown sugar
07 - ¼ cup any hot sauce you enjoy
08 - ¼ cup natural honey
09 - 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
10 - ½ teaspoon optional cayenne for more heat
11 - 1 tablespoon soy sauce

→ Toppings and Extras

12 - Chopped fresh cilantro
13 - Thinly sliced green onions
14 - Roasted sesame seeds

# Instructions:

01 - Make sure the wings are completely dry by patting them down with paper towels. This step is key for that crunchy skin. Coat them in a sprinkle of salt, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper in a big bowl.
02 - You can either bake or fry! To bake: line a baking sheet with foil, place a wire rack on top, and spread the wings out. Cook at 400°F for 40-45 minutes, flipping midway through. To fry: heat oil to 375°F, dropping the wings in batches to fry for 8-10 minutes until golden and crispy. Both methods deliver crispy goodness!
03 - As the wings cook, mix honey, brown sugar, hot sauce, vinegar, soy sauce, and cayenne (if using) together in a pot. Bring it to medium heat, stirring now and then, until the mixture bubbles and thickens a bit, which takes about 3-5 minutes.
04 - Toss your cooked wings in the warm sweet and spicy glaze until they're glossed all over. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, green onions, and cilantro before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Drying the chicken thoroughly is the secret to crunchy wings.
02 - You can prep the glaze in advance and reheat when ready.
03 - Control the heat by adjusting the hot sauce or cayenne.
