Savory Skillet Rolls (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Proteins

01 - 1 pound of beef, ground

→ Vegetables

02 - 1 small cabbage, remove the core and chop it up
03 - 1 bell pepper, diced
04 - 1 yellow onion, diced
05 - 1 can (14 ounces) of diced tomatoes

→ Seasonings

06 - 2 teaspoons garlic powder
07 - 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
08 - 2 teaspoons of Tony Chachere's seasoning mix
09 - 1 teaspoon ground black pepper

→ Dairy

10 - 2 cups of cheddar cheese, shredded

# Instructions:

01 - Use a large pan on medium heat to cook the ground beef thoroughly. Remove extra grease, but leave a little (2-3 tablespoons) for flavor.
02 - Toss the diced onion and bell pepper into the pan. Stir them around and cook for about 3-4 minutes until they start softening.
03 - Add chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and creole seasoning to the skillet. Put the lid on and let it cook for 20-25 minutes, mixing it now and then. Adjust the spices after tasting if needed.
04 - Scatter the shredded cheddar cheese over the dish and close the lid again. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until all the cheese is gooey.
05 - Enjoy while warm either by itself or pair it up with some rice on the side.

# Notes:

01 - The creole seasoning already has salt, so taste your dish before adding extra salt.
02 - Skip the side of rice if you're aiming for fewer carbs.
