Easy Turkey Brine (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 gallons of chilled water.
02 - 3 cups of apple cider or juice.
03 - 1 1/2 cups of kosher salt.
04 - 2 cups of packed brown sugar.
05 - Peels from three big oranges.
06 - 5 whole garlic cloves, minced.
07 - 4 tablespoons of chopped fresh rosemary.
08 - 5 leaves of bay, whole.
09 - 3 tablespoons of whole peppercorns.

# Instructions:

01 - Put everything into a big pot, stir, and bring to a boil until sugar and salt dissolve.
02 - Turn off the heat, cover the pot, and let it cool down all the way.
03 - Place the uncooked turkey in a bag or container, pour in the brine, and refrigerate it for up to a day.
04 - Take turkey out of the brine, throw the brine away, and soak the turkey in clean cold water for 15 minutes.
05 - Pat the turkey until it's completely dry and cook it using your preferred method.

# Notes:

01 - Keep the turkey cold while brining.
02 - Don't reuse the brine, always toss it afterward.
03 - The water soak helps remove any extra salt left behind.
