Sprinkle the shrimp with some salt and pepper.

In a skillet, heat 2 tablespoons each of butter and oil. Sear shrimp for about 2 minutes per side till they're pink. Set them aside.

Using the same pan, toss in the rest of the butter and oil. Sauté the garlic and shallots for a couple of minutes.

Pour in the white wine, lemon juice, parsley, and chili flakes. Stir everything together.

Bring it to a gentle boil and cook down for 2-3 minutes until it thickens a bit.

Add the shrimp back to the pan, coat with the sauce, and heat for another 2 minutes.
