Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 8 strips of bacon, diced
02 - 1 1/2 pounds chicken breast, no skin or bones
03 - 10 ounces of penne pasta

→ Sauce

04 - 4 ounces cream cheese
05 - 2 cups shredded cheddar
06 - 1 packet of dry ranch mix
07 - 2 cups broth made from chicken
08 - 1 cup sour cream

→ Aromatics & Seasonings

09 - 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
10 - 1/2 onion, yellow, minced
11 - 2 teaspoons dried parsley
12 - Salt, 1 teaspoon
13 - A teaspoon of black pepper
14 - Green onions, chopped, for garnish

# Instructions:

01 - Boil the pasta until firm but cooked. Rinse under cold tap water after draining.
02 - Fry the diced bacon until crispy, save one spoonful of bacon grease, and set it all aside.
03 - Brown bite-sized chicken pieces in the bacon drippings, adding salt and pepper. Toss in onion till soft, then garlic for about a minute.
04 - Simmer the mixture of broth, sour cream, cream cheese, ranch mix, crispy bacon, and seasonings until it thickens slightly.
05 - Add cheddar and cooked pasta to the sauce. Simmer briefly. Sprinkle green onion on top to serve.

# Notes:

01 - Prepare in advance; it reheats easily.
02 - More broth makes it less thick if you prefer.
