Homemade Patty Melt (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 large onion sliced thinly.
02 - 450g ground beef.
03 - 4 cheddar cheese slices.
04 - 4 Swiss cheese slices.
05 - 8 slices of rye bread.
06 - Butter for cooking.
07 - Salt and pepper for seasoning.
08 - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce.
09 - 2 tablespoons ketchup.
10 - 1 tablespoon dill pickle relish.
11 - 120g mayonnaise.

# Instructions:

01 - In a bowl, blend together ketchup, mayo, Worcestershire, and relish.
02 - Melt butter and stir onions for 15-20 minutes until golden and sweet.
03 - Season the ground beef and press out 4 thin patties.
04 - Brown the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side.
05 - Spread butter on bread, stack with cheese, meat, and onions.
06 - Toast the sandwiches on both sides for 2-3 minutes until gooey inside.

# Notes:

01 - Cut the sandwiches after letting them sit for 1 minute before serving.
02 - Serve the sauce alongside or drizzle it right over.
