Marry Me Chicken Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 pound thinly sliced chicken breasts.
02 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter.
03 - 2 tablespoons olive oil.
04 - ¼ cup flour for dredging.
05 - 4 garlic cloves, finely chopped.
06 - ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes.
07 - 2 cups chicken stock, low-salt.
08 - 1 cup heavy whipping cream.
09 - ¼ cup drained julienned sun-dried tomatoes in oil.
10 - ½ teaspoon Italian herb mix.
11 - 8 ounces uncooked penne pasta.
12 - 1 cup shredded fresh Parmesan cheese.
13 - Fresh basil leaves for garnish.
14 - Kosher salt, to taste.
15 - Ground black pepper, freshly cracked, to taste.

# Instructions:

01 - Dry the chicken, season it with pepper and salt, coat it in flour, and brown it in olive oil at medium-high heat. Set it aside after that.
02 - Melt the butter in the pan, toss in garlic and red pepper flakes, and cook for 1-2 minutes. Stir in the chicken stock, seasoning mix, cream, and tomatoes while scraping up any browned bits.
03 - Put the uncooked pasta and the browned chicken into the pan. Cover and cook on low-medium heat for about 20 minutes, making sure the pasta softens and chicken hits 165°F.
04 - Take out the chicken to let it rest. Mix Parmesan and basil into the dish. Slice the chicken and put it back with the pasta, then serve up your meal.

# Notes:

01 - One-pot dish with restaurant flair.
02 - Grate Parmesan fresh for best flavor.
03 - Chicken will finish cooking alongside the pasta.
