Maple Glazed Carrots (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/3 cup butter, sliced into pieces.
02 - 1/4 cup maple syrup.
03 - 1/4 cup packed brown sugar.
04 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
05 - 1/2 teaspoon table salt.
06 - 2 pounds small carrots.

# Instructions:

01 - Toss the baby carrots into the crockpot.
02 - Sprinkle with salt, sugar, and cinnamon. Give a gentle stir.
03 - Drizzle on the syrup and stir again to coat evenly.
04 - Scatter pieces of butter over the mix. Close the lid.
05 - Set to high and leave for 3 hours, or go low for 5-6 hours. Stir now and then.
06 - Take the lid off for the last half hour and switch to high heat to make the sauce thicker.
07 - Move the carrots to a big bowl. Simmer the sauce in a pan for 5 minutes till thicker, then pour back on.

# Notes:

01 - You can use honey instead of syrup.
02 - The pan thickening trick gives better results.
03 - Regular-sized carrots will work. Just chop them up first.
