# Ingredients:

→ Dough basics

01 - 4 ½ cups bread flour
02 - 1 teaspoon salt
03 - 1 packet active dry yeast
04 - 1 cup milk
05 - 2 tablespoons sugar
06 - 2 eggs
07 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter

→ Toppings & finish

08 - Strawberry jam jar
09 - Powdered sugar
10 - Vegetable oil

# Instructions:

01 - Let 1 cup of milk sit out until it's room temperature.
02 - Heat 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter until melted, then leave it to cool.
03 - Stir together 4 cups of flour with 1 teaspoon of salt till it's evenly mixed.
04 - Mix 2 tablespoons of warm milk with 2 tablespoons of sugar. Sprinkle in the active dry yeast and let it sit for about 10 minutes until it foams up.
05 - Pour the activated yeast, the leftover milk, 2 beaten eggs, and melted butter into the flour mix, and stir it all together until it's combined.
06 - Use a dough hook or your hands to knead until the dough gets smooth and stretchy.
07 - Put the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it, and let it sit for about 2 hours until it doubles in size.
08 - Once risen, gently push the dough down in the bowl, then roll it out on a lightly floured surface until it's roughly 1/2 inch thick.
09 - Use a cutter to make circles of dough and place them on a lightly floured tray. Let them rest for around 20 minutes, so they puff up again.
10 - Pour 2-3 inches of vegetable oil into a big pot and heat it to 180°C. Have the jam-filled piping bag and powdered sugar bowl ready.
11 - When the oil's hot, fry the donuts. Flip them as they cook, and fry till they turn golden all over. Coat them in powdered sugar while they're still warm.
12 - Poke a hole on the side of each donut and use the piping bag to fill them with strawberry jam till it feels full.

# Notes:

01 - Keep the oil at a steady 180°C to ensure even frying and avoid burning.
