Holiday Fruit Salad Treat (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 lemon, juiced.
02 - 1 lemon zest.
03 - 1 orange zest.
04 - 2 red apples.
05 - 2 green apples.
06 - 1/4 cup sugar.
07 - 3 oranges.
08 - 1/4 spoon apple pie spice.
09 - 1 cup grapes.
10 - 3/4 cup dried cranberries.
11 - 1 cup pecans.
12 - 1/2 cup orange juice.

# Instructions:

01 - Set oven to 350°. Spread pecans on a baking sheet. Remove when they smell fragrant. Cool them down.
02 - Combine sugar, orange juice, apple pie spice, and zests in a small pot. Heat gently until bubbling, then cook 3-4 minutes until slightly thick.
03 - Pour through a strainer into a bowl. Let it fully cool before using.
04 - Slice apples into small pieces. Toss with half the lemon juice to keep them from browning.
05 - Remove orange peels and chop the fruit into small chunks.
06 - In a large bowl, add the apples, cranberries, pecans, grapes, and oranges.
07 - Pour the sauce over the mixed fruit and stir until combined. It's best enjoyed fresh.
