Heart Cinnamon Rolls (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 package (12.4 oz) of refrigerated cinnamon roll dough (e.g., Pillsbury) or use cinnamon roll dough you make at home
02 - A bit of flour for dusting surfaces (only if using homemade dough)

→ Homemade Cream Cheese Icing (Optional)

03 - 4 ounces softened cream cheese
04 - 2 tablespoons softened unsalted butter
05 - 1 cup powdered sugar
06 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
07 - 1 to 2 tablespoons milk (to thin out, if needed)

→ Decoration

08 - Red, pink, and white sprinkles or sanding sugar
09 - Edible glitter (optional extra sparkle)

# Instructions:

01 - Gently unroll a bit of each cinnamon roll and pinch the ends together to make the bottom point of the heart. Smooth and adjust the top edges to create a rounded shape.
02 - If the dough sticks as you're forming the shapes, pop it in the fridge for 10-15 minutes to firm it up.
03 - Use the directions on the cinnamon roll package if store-bought, or bake according to your homemade recipe's instructions.
04 - Combine cream cheese and butter until smooth. Mix in powdered sugar and vanilla, then slowly add the milk to get the thickness you like.
05 - Spread the icing onto the warm cinnamon rolls, then quickly sprinkle with decorations while it's still sticky.

# Notes:

01 - Homemade or pre-made dough can both work here
02 - For a fun look, tint the icing light pink or red with food coloring
03 - It tastes best when served fresh and warm
04 - Try coloring the icing for a Valentine's Day theme
