Healthy chocolate banana bread (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Wet Ingredients

01 - 2 mashed small bananas (about 140g)
02 - 30g of coconut oil
03 - 1 tablespoon of light cream
04 - 1 egg (used for brushing)

→ Dry Ingredients

05 - 225g of whole-grain flour
06 - 1 tablespoon of dry yeast
07 - 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
08 - A pinch of salt
09 - 1 tablespoon of sugar (optional)

→ Filling

10 - Chunks of dark chocolate

# Instructions:

01 - Combine the mashed bananas, coconut oil, cream, and egg in a bowl
02 - In another bowl, stir together the flour, yeast, baking soda, sugar, and salt
03 - Pour the dry mix into the wet ones and stir until you get a soft dough
04 - Roll out the dough on a floured surface. Place dark chocolate pieces on top, then shape them into pastries
05 - Brush the pastries with the beaten egg and bake at 180°C for 12–15 minutes, or until golden

# Notes:

01 - Throw in some flax or sesame seeds if you want extra crunch
02 - For a sweeter version, add some sugar or milk chocolate chips
03 - You can swap the flour for rice, buckwheat, or almond flour to make it gluten-free
04 - Store the pastries in an airtight container at room temperature
