Ham pineapple maple dish (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - Half a Quebec pork ham, bone-in or boneless
02 - 20 to 30 whole cloves
03 - 400 ml sliced pineapple in juice
04 - 540 ml maple syrup

# Instructions:

01 - Put the ham in a pot and pour enough water to cover it. Turn the heat to medium to boil, then simmer on low for 30 minutes.
02 - Set your oven to 140 °C (275 °F) and make sure a rack is in the middle position.
03 - Drain the ham and insert cloves all over it. Place it in an oven-safe dish, arrange pineapple slices on top, and pour in the pineapple juice and maple syrup.
04 - Bake uncovered for about 90 minutes. Every 30 minutes or so, spoon the syrup and juice mixture over the ham to keep it juicy.
