Jalapeño Grilled Cheese (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 slices of thick Texas toast bread.
02 - 6 cooked bacon strips.
03 - 4 jalapeños, sliced in half and deseeded.
04 - 1 cup of shredded mild cheddar cheese.
05 - 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter.
06 - 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
07 - 4 ounces of softened cream cheese.
08 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt.
09 - 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper.
10 - 1/2 teaspoon onion powder.

# Instructions:

01 - Set the oven to 425°F. Coat jalapeños with olive oil. Roast for 15 minutes until blistered. Let them cool and then chop them up.
02 - In a bowl, stir cream cheese and all the spices together. Add the roasted, chopped jalapeños.
03 - Spread butter on the outside of each bread slice. Layer the cream cheese mix, cheddar, and bacon inside. Place another slice on top.
04 - Warm up a skillet over medium heat. Grill each side of the sandwich for 3-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden.

# Notes:

01 - Roast jalapeños beforehand to save time.
02 - Room temperature cream cheese blends easier.
03 - Grate cheese fresh for better melting.
04 - Leave some seeds in for extra heat.
05 - Serve hot so the cheese stays gooey.
06 - A fun spin on the traditional grilled cheese.
