Golden Toast With Apples (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 slices of bread (brioche, sandwich bread, or rustic loaf)
02 - 2 apples (Golden or Boskoop recommended)
03 - 30 g of butter
04 - 1 small pinch of salt
05 - 1 teaspoon of cinnamon (optional)
06 - 2 tablespoons of sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Peel the apples and chop them into small chunks. Heat 20 g of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the apple chunks, salt, sugar, and cinnamon. Stir occasionally and cook for about 8-10 minutes until the apples get soft and slightly caramelized. Use a fork to mash them up a bit for a smoother texture.
02 - Either grill the slices of bread in a toaster or heat them in a pan with a dab of butter.
03 - Spread the leftover butter on the toasted bread, then pile on the apple butter. For an indulgent touch, drizzle with honey or serve alongside a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
