Garlic Cheese Pesto Loaf (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 1 loaf of Italian bread or a French-style baguette

→ Spread

02 - 1/2 cup of pesto made with basil
03 - 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
04 - 1/2 cup softened butter (unsalted)

→ Toppings

05 - Salt and pepper — adjust to your liking
06 - Fresh basil, chopped into small pieces
07 - 1/4 cup Parmesan, grated finely
08 - 1 cup mozzarella, shredded

# Instructions:

01 - Set the oven to 375°F. Slice the bread lengthwise into two even halves.
02 - First, slather on the garlic butter. Next, spread the pesto evenly on top, and sprinkle over both mozzarella and Parmesan.
03 - Bake the bread for 10–12 minutes until the cheese is gooey and melted. For a crispy top, broil it for 1–2 extra minutes.
04 - Scatter the fresh basil over the top, slice the bread into pieces, and serve while it’s warm.
