Cheese Bread Loaf (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 3 cups grated cheddar cheese.
02 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.
03 - 1 teaspoon salt.
04 - 2 teaspoons baking powder.
05 - 1 1/3 cups buttermilk.
06 - 4 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled.
07 - 2 teaspoons garlic powder.
08 - 2 large eggs.
09 - 2 cups plain flour.
10 - 1 tablespoon sugar.

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9x5 pan lightly.
02 - Combine flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, baking soda, and garlic powder. Toss in 2 cups of the cheddar.
03 - Whisk together eggs, buttermilk, and melted butter until smooth.
04 - Gently fold the wet mixture into the dry until it’s just incorporated. Don’t overdo it! Pour into the loaf pan.
05 - Sprinkle the remaining cheddar on top. Cover with foil, bake for 30 minutes, then remove foil and bake for another 20 minutes.
06 - Let the loaf cool for about 10 minutes in the pan before shifting it carefully to a cooling rack.

# Notes:

01 - Don’t stir the batter too much or it’ll turn dense.
02 - Foil keeps the cheese from darkening too quickly.
