Unwrap the brie. If there's a little wooden box, use it to serve later, or put the wheel into a small baking dish.

Lightly cut shallow lines across the top of the brie to make a crisscross pattern. This helps the jam seep down as it cooks.

Spoon the fig jam onto the brie and spread it out. If you'd like, sprinkle some nuts, thyme, or drizzle a little honey over it now.

Place the brie in the oven and let it bake for 15-20 minutes. You'll know it's ready when the middle feels gooey if you press it gently.
