Set the oven to 180°C. Lightly coat the inside of a 20x20 cm or 22x22 cm baking dish with non-stick spray and set it aside.

In a big bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, mustard, nutmeg, salt, and pepper until well blended.

Toss the bread cubes into the wet mix, making sure they’re completely soaked.

Gently fold in the diced ham and grated Swiss cheese.

Pour the mixture into the greased dish. Pop it in the oven and bake for about 40 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Once baked, take the dish out of the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Slice into portions and, if you’d like, add a dollop of raspberry jam as a side.
