Easy Mille Feuilles (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - Two store-bought puff pastry sheets.
02 - A vanilla pod, split open.
03 - 20g of granulated sugar.
04 - 375ml of whole milk.
05 - Three egg yolks.
06 - 60g of sugar.
07 - 30g of corn starch.
08 - 10g of plain flour.
09 - 30g of butter.
10 - Powdered sugar for dusting on top.

# Instructions:

01 - Split the vanilla pod and scrape out the seeds. Heat the milk with the vanilla and let it sit to soak up the flavor for an hour.
02 - Beat together the egg yolks with the sugar, then mix in the sifted corn starch and flour. Slowly pour in the warm milk, heat it, and stir until it thickens.
03 - Mix in the butter, cover it so it touches the surface to avoid crust, and let it cool down.
04 - Preheat the oven to 180°C. Cut 18 circles of 9 cm each, sprinkle them with sugar, cover with a baking sheet and a heavy cooking tray.
05 - Bake for 40 minutes until golden brown. Set them aside to cool completely.
06 - Pipe the cream onto 12 circles. Stack them, adding an uncovered circle on top. Sprinkle powdered sugar over everything.
