Easy Holiday Stuffing (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 16 ounces sliced fresh mushrooms.
02 - 2 cups chopped celery.
03 - 2 teaspoons chopped fresh thyme.
04 - 1 1/2 teaspoons salt.
05 - 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning.
06 - 1 1/2 teaspoons ground sage.
07 - 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley.
08 - 4 cups chicken broth.
09 - 2 large beaten eggs.
10 - 12 cups bread cubes for stuffing.
11 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper.
12 - 2 cups chopped onions.
13 - 1 cup melted butter.

# Instructions:

01 - In a big skillet, melt the butter. Toss in mushrooms, celery, and onion to cook. Mix in parsley, then let it cool off the heat.
02 - In a big bowl, mix the bread cubes with all the seasonings. Give it a good stir so everything's combined.
03 - Combine the cooked veggies with the seasoned bread cubes. Pour in the broth and stir gently. Add eggs and lightly mix.
04 - Move the stuffing to your slow cooker without packing it tight. Cook for 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low. In the last hour, keep the lid off and stir occasionally so the edges crisp up.

# Notes:

01 - Stick with fresh mushrooms for the best flavor.
02 - Freshly chopped herbs make a big difference.
03 - Don't press the stuffing into the slow cooker.
04 - Leave the lid off near the end for crispy bits.
05 - Saves oven space on busy cooking days.
06 - A classic holiday crowd-pleaser.
