Christmas Tree Pastry (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted.
02 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
03 - 1/4 cup sugar.
04 - 2 sheets of puff pastry, choose regular or gluten-free.
05 - 8 wooden skewers.
06 - 8 Rolo chocolates (optional).
07 - Powdered sugar for sprinkling.

# Instructions:

01 - Set oven to 350°F and prep your baking tray with parchment paper. Blend the sugar and cinnamon in a little bowl.
02 - Lay one pastry sheet out on parchment, brush it with half the butter, and sprinkle cinnamon-sugar on top. Place the second sheet directly over it.
03 - Slice into 1-inch-wide strips using a pizza cutter. Fold each strip back and forth like a fan, then insert a skewer through the middle to hold the shape.
04 - Coat with the rest of the melted butter and pop them into the freezer for about 10 minutes.
05 - Bake for 15-20 minutes until they're flaky and golden. Sprinkle powdered sugar over them and, if you'd like, stick a Rolo at the bottom for a base.

# Notes:

01 - Let puff pastry thaw to room temperature first.
02 - Best enjoyed on the same day.
03 - Snip skewers shorter for smaller trees if needed.
