Easter Chocolate Nests (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 100g golden syrup
02 - 200g dark chocolate, broken into pieces
03 - 200g milk chocolate, chopped into bits
04 - 100g unsalted butter
05 - 6-8 full-sized Shredded Wheat biscuits

→ Topping

06 - 100-200g of small Easter-themed candies

# Instructions:

01 - Take the Shredded Wheat, crumble it into small bits, and put it in a large bowl. Set this aside for later.
02 - In a pan, slowly melt together the butter and syrup on low heat. Give it an occasional stir until the butter is fully melted. Take the pan off the heat and mix in the milk and dark chocolates until they're smooth.
03 - Pour the chocolate and syrup mix over the crumbled Shredded Wheat. Stir it all together until well coated.
04 - Grab two spoons or a cookie scoop and shape the mixture into small nests on a baking sheet with parchment. Pop a few Easter candies on each nest.
05 - Put your tray in the fridge and leave it until the nests are completely firm.

# Notes:

01 - Use 350g of dark chocolate instead of a mix, or 500g of milk chocolate alone.
02 - Swap out Shredded Wheat for about 80-100g of another cereal if you prefer.
03 - These’ll stay tasty for a little over a week!
04 - White chocolate tends to split with butter and syrup, so skip that combo.
