Cook the cherries with 2 tablespoons of water for a few minutes, using low heat. Mash gently once they soften.

Let the tea steep in freshly boiled water for about 3-5 minutes. Take out the bag or strain after.

Slowly warm up the milk together with the softened cherries. Add the cinnamon stick if you'd like. Stir once in a while.

Mix in as much vanilla syrup as you'd like to the milk and cherry mix.

Pour the brewed tea into your cup, then strain in the milk and cherry mixture. Press the cherries to release their juices while straining, and mix thoroughly.

Sip it warm or pour over ice for a refreshing cold drink. Optionally, you can fancy it up with a cherry or cinnamon stick for garnish.
