Earl Grey Cherry Tea (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base Tea

01 - 1 cup water
02 - 1 Earl Grey tea bag or 1 teaspoon loose leaves

→ Extras

03 - 4-5 cherries, pitted and split in two
04 - Any kind of milk, ½ cup
05 - 1-2 teaspoons of vanilla-flavored syrup

→ Optional Bits

06 - 1 stick of cinnamon
07 - Ice cubes, if preparing a chilled drink

# Instructions:

01 - Cook the cherries with 2 tablespoons of water for a few minutes, using low heat. Mash gently once they soften.
02 - Let the tea steep in freshly boiled water for about 3-5 minutes. Take out the bag or strain after.
03 - Slowly warm up the milk together with the softened cherries. Add the cinnamon stick if you'd like. Stir once in a while.
04 - Mix in as much vanilla syrup as you'd like to the milk and cherry mix.
05 - Pour the brewed tea into your cup, then strain in the milk and cherry mixture. Press the cherries to release their juices while straining, and mix thoroughly.
06 - Sip it warm or pour over ice for a refreshing cold drink. Optionally, you can fancy it up with a cherry or cinnamon stick for garnish.
