Crispy Onion Airfryer (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Crispy Onion

01 - 1 large Vidalia (sweet) onion
02 - 1 tsp onion powder
03 - 1 tbsp hot sauce
04 - 2 eggs, large
05 - ½ cup buttermilk
06 - 1 cup plain flour
07 - 1 tsp paprika
08 - ½ tsp black pepper
09 - 1 tsp garlic powder
10 - 1 tsp salt
11 - Spray olive oil

→ Creamy Dip

12 - ½ cup mayo
13 - ¼ tsp onion powder
14 - 1 tbsp mirin or plain water
15 - 1 tbsp melted butter, unsalted
16 - ¼ tsp garlic powder
17 - ¼ cup ketchup

# Instructions:

01 - Make 8-12 cuts from the top, stopping right before the root, then carefully spread the layers to open them up.
02 - Cover in seasoned flour, dip into egg mix, and coat with flour again.
03 - Spray with oil and fry at 375°F for 12-15 minutes until golden.
04 - Blend all the dipping sauce ingredients until smooth and serve alongside the warm onion.

# Notes:

01 - Put the onion in ice water so the layers spread better.
02 - Make sure it's totally dry before breading.
