Cover a 20 cm square pan's bottom with parchment paper or plastic wrap, leaving extra at the edges to lift it out.

Stir together cream, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a 2-liter microwave-safe measuring cup.

Microwave the mix for 4 minutes, then stir. Heat it for another 4 minutes after that.

Drop in butter and vanilla extract, then whip everything at high speed using an electric mixer. Keep mixing until it thickens and looks less shiny, about 2 minutes.

Pour the mixture evenly into the pan, cover it, and chill for around 30 minutes, or until firm.

Lift the fudge out of the pan and slice it into squares before serving.
