Creamy Shrimp Casserole (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 tablespoon butter.
02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil, extra-virgin.
03 - 2 tablespoons of plain flour for cooking.
04 - 30 raw medium shrimp, deveined and peeled.
05 - 1 shallot, sliced thin.
06 - 2 cups of milk.
07 - A pinch of ground nutmeg.
08 - Sprinkle with salt to suit your taste.
09 - 1 cup shredded Cheddar.
10 - 4 teaspoons of Italian seasoning, split.
11 - 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped.
12 - 1/2 cup bread crumbs, dry.
13 - 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated.

# Instructions:

01 - Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) to preheat.
02 - In a skillet, heat butter and oil. Stir in flour until it forms a paste, then slowly add the milk. Let it simmer until it thickens up. Mix in nutmeg and sprinkle some salt.
03 - Lay the shrimp in a baking dish. Toss them with salt and three teaspoons of Italian seasoning.
04 - Pour the sauce over the shrimp. Add Cheddar, shallots, the rest of the seasoning, and chopped parsley.
05 - Evenly scatter Parmesan and breadcrumbs on top.
06 - Pop it in the oven and bake for around 25 minutes until golden and crunchy.
