Set your oven to 350ยบ and let it heat up. Chop the mushrooms into small bits, and mince the garlic finely.

Heat up a large pan with olive oil set to medium. Toss in the mushrooms, sprinkle on a bit of salt and pepper, and cook until they're soft. Add garlic and cook until no liquid is left in the pan.

Add butter and let it melt, then stir in the flour to create a thick paste at the bottom of the pan. Stir constantly for about 2 minutes until it turns a light brown.

Pour in the milk, veggie broth, and garlic powder. Stir everything well, making sure to scrape up any bits stuck to the bottom. Bring it to a simmer and let it thicken up.

Drop in the cream cheese and mix it in until it's melted and totally smooth.

Mix in the frozen green beans right into the sauce, letting them heat up as the sauce gets bubbly. Taste and add more seasoning if you need to.

Mix 1/4 cup of crispy onions into the beans and sauce. Scoop everything into a baking dish and top it with the rest of the crispy onions.
