Creamy Cajun Pasta Sausages (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Base

01 - 340g of smoked sausage (such as kielbasa or Andouille)
02 - 225g of pasta (like rigatoni or penne)

→ Veggies and Herbs

03 - 1 cup of mixed bell peppers, diced
04 - ½ cup of diced onion
05 - 1 cup of fresh spinach (optional)
06 - Chopped parsley for topping

→ Sauce and Seasonings

07 - 2 tablespoons of Cajun seasoning
08 - 1 tablespoon of olive oil
09 - 1½ cups of chicken broth
10 - 1 cup of heavy cream
11 - 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
12 - ½ teaspoon of garlic powder
13 - ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper (optional)
14 - Salt and black pepper

# Instructions:

01 - Slice up the sausage into rounds. Dice the onion and bell peppers.
02 - Put some olive oil in a large pan over heat, then cook the sausage until it's nice and browned. Remove it and set it aside.
03 - Using the same pan, sauté the onions and bell peppers. Stir in the Cajun seasoning and garlic powder, then pour in the chicken broth and let it boil.
04 - Toss the uncooked pasta into the pan with the sauce. Stir frequently and let it cook until it's just soft enough (al dente).
05 - Turn the heat down, mix in the cream and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the cheese melts completely. Add the sausage back in and warm it through.
