Creamy Beef Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 8 oz of fettuccine pasta.
02 - 1 medium onion, chopped.
03 - 2 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced.
04 - 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
05 - 1/3 cup of grated Parmesan cheese.
06 - 1 teaspoon of Italian herbs.
07 - 1/3 cup white wine (optional).
08 - 1 lb of ground beef.
09 - 1 cup of sliced mushrooms.
10 - 1/2 cup chicken broth.
11 - 1 cup heavy cream.
12 - Fresh chopped parsley.
13 - Season with salt and pepper.

# Instructions:

01 - Boil water with salt. Cook pasta until just firm. Save 1 cup of the starchy water before draining.
02 - Cook the onion and garlic in olive oil. Add the beef, cook it thoroughly, then toss in the mushrooms. Pour in the wine to deglaze the pan. Add the broth, season with herbs, and lower the heat before stirring in the cream.
03 - Put the drained pasta into the sauce. Mix in Parmesan cheese and parsley. Adjust with reserved pasta water if needed. Season to your liking.

# Notes:

01 - Lower the heat when adding cream to prevent curdling.
02 - If you don't have wine, just use more broth instead.
03 - Use the reserved pasta water to make the sauce silky.
04 - Ground turkey can replace beef if that's what you prefer.
