Cookie Bars Chocolate Chip (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup softened butter
02 - 1 cup tightly packed brown sugar
03 - 1/2 cup white sugar
04 - 1/4 cup dairy milk
05 - 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
06 - 2 cups plain flour
07 - 1/2 teaspoon table salt
08 - 1 cup chocolate chips

→ Chocolate Coating

09 - 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
10 - 1 tablespoon melted coconut oil or butter

# Instructions:

01 - Using a large bowl, mix the softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until they become fluffy and pale.
02 - Slowly pour in the milk and vanilla, stirring until the mixture is smooth.
03 - Stir in the salt and flour bit by bit, creating a soft dough.
04 - Stir the chocolate chips into the dough until they’re spread evenly.
05 - Line a dish with parchment, press the dough so it’s flat, and smooth out the top.
06 - Place the dish in the fridge for about one hour or until the dough firms up.
07 - In a microwaveable bowl, heat chocolate chips with coconut oil (or butter) in 30-second rounds, stirring between until melted.
08 - Pour the melted chocolate over the cooled dough, spreading it across the top.
09 - Scatter some chocolate chips on top to make it look extra fun.
10 - Chill the dish in the fridge for another 30 minutes until the chocolate solidifies.
11 - Cut the firm bars out of the dish carefully, then enjoy them fresh or with friends!
