# Ingredients:

01 - 1½ cups powdered sugar.
02 - 1 cup softened butter.
03 - 1 large egg at room temperature.
04 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract.
05 - 1 teaspoon baking powder.
06 - 3 cups plain flour.
07 - ¼ teaspoon kosher salt.
08 - 2 teaspoons water (if it feels too dry).
09 - 2½ cups powdered sugar, for icing.
10 - 1¼ tablespoons meringue powder.
11 - 3-4 tablespoons warm water.
12 - ¼-1 teaspoon clear vanilla flavoring.
13 - Gel food coloring (like blue, green, or red).

# Instructions:

01 - Whip together sugar and butter until creamy. Toss in vanilla and egg. Stir in dry ingredients that have been sifted.
02 - Shape the dough into two flat rounds, cover with plastic wrap, and chill for half an hour.
03 - Roll out to about ¼ inch thick, cut them into shapes, and bake at 350°F for 9-10 minutes. Look for lightly golden edges.
04 - Mix powdered sugar, meringue powder, water, and vanilla together until it's a pourable texture.
05 - Separate the icing, create swirls with food colors, and dip cookies. Let extra frosting drip off and set for 2 hours.
