# Ingredients:

01 - 1/4 cup crushed nuts (optional).
02 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract.
03 - 1 cold stick of butter.
04 - 1 egg.
05 - 1/2 teaspoon salt.
06 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda.
07 - 3 tablespoons cornstarch.
08 - 6 tablespoons powdered sugar.
09 - 1 1/4 cups flour.
10 - 6 tablespoons brown sugar.
11 - 1 bag of semi-sweet chocolate chips.

# Instructions:

01 - Heat the oven to 460°F and line your baking trays with parchment.
02 - Stir together the flour, cornstarch, salt, and baking soda in a bowl.
03 - In a larger bowl, cream the cold butter (cut up), sugars, egg, and vanilla until blended.
04 - Gently fold the dry mixture into the wet bowl until it's all mixed.
05 - Toss in the chocolate chips and nuts, then stir until everything's evenly spread.
06 - Scoop dough into small balls (about a tablespoon) and lay them on the baking tray.
07 - Pop them into the oven for 6-7 minutes until golden on top.
08 - Let them sit on the tray to cool; they'll keep cooking a bit as they rest.

# Notes:

01 - They're best served warm when the chocolate's still gooey.
02 - Freeze the dough to bake fresh later on when needed.
