Whipped Cherry Limeade (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 2 ½ cups of ice.
02 - ¼ cup tart, unsweetened cherry juice.
03 - ½ cup of water.
04 - ¼ cup lime juice, freshly squeezed (about 2 limes).
05 - Optional: 2 tablespoons of half-and-half cream.
06 - ½ cup of sugar.
07 - Zest from one large lime or two smaller ones.

# Instructions:

01 - Mix the water with the sugar in a small pot. Bring it to a light boil on medium heat, stirring until it’s fully combined. Toss in the lime zest and take the pot off the heat.
02 - Cover the syrup and let it sit for an hour. Strain out the zest using a fine sieve, tossing the zest afterward. (Keep leftover syrup in the fridge and use it within a week.)
03 - In a blender, combine ½ cup of the lime syrup, tart cherry juice, lime juice, ice cubes, and half-and-half (if you're using it).
04 - Blend everything together until the ice turns into a slushy consistency.
05 - Split the icy limeade into four glasses that each hold about 8 ounces, and serve right away.

# Notes:

01 - This creamy, tangy limeade is perfect for summer. Add more cherry juice for a punchier flavor or use extra half-and-half to make it richer.
