Cheesy Potato Sticks (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Core Ingredients

01 - 1 block cheddar cheese, sliced into thin pieces
02 - ¼ cup green onion, chopped finely
03 - 3 large russet potatoes, boiled and diced
04 - ½ cup sour cream
05 - ¼ cup bacon, crumbled

→ Coating

06 - 100g panko breadcrumbs
07 - ⅔ cup cornstarch
08 - 1 teaspoon salt
09 - Egg, whisked for coating
10 - ½ teaspoon black pepper
11 - Flour to coat

→ Frying

12 - 1 litre peanut, canola, or vegetable oil

# Instructions:

01 - Stir together the potatoes, sour cream, bacon, green onions, and seasoning until lightly mashed.
02 - Shape the potato mix around the cheese slices, making sure they’re fully covered.
03 - Roll in flour, dip into the beaten egg, and cover with the cornstarch-panko blend.
04 - Bake at 400°F for about 15 minutes or fry in hot oil at 350°F for 3 minutes until crispy.
