Cheesy Green Beans (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 500g/1 lb of trimmed green beans.
02 - 2 tablespoons of olive oil, divided.
03 - 2 garlic cloves, minced.
04 - 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
05 - 1/2 teaspoon of pepper.
06 - 1/3 cup of panko crumbs.
07 - 1/3 cup of shredded parmesan cheese.

# Instructions:

01 - Set the broiler to high or heat your oven to 220C/425F. Keep the rack 12 inches/30cm from the heat source.
02 - Put the beans on a baking sheet. Drizzle with one tablespoon of oil, toss in the garlic, salt, and pepper, and coat evenly.
03 - Arrange the beans in tight rows on the tray, packed closely together.
04 - Top the beans with parmesan after sprinkling with breadcrumbs. Drizzle the remaining oil over the beans.
05 - Bake for 15 minutes or broil for 8 minutes until the parmesan looks nice and toasty.
06 - Use a spatula to lift them onto a serving plate and enjoy right away.

# Notes:

01 - Store-bought grated parmesan works great, but use more if you're grating fresh.
02 - Frozen green beans are okay as long as you thaw and pat them dry beforehand.
03 - These taste best fresh while they're crispy.
